“Andranik Margaryan 14th Memorial” with GM norm

The Chess Academy of Armenia is organizing an International Chess Tournament “Andranik Margaryan 14th Memorial” from 8th to 16th of January, 2024. The tournament is a 10-player GM norm Round Robin event held in 9 rounds.

Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves + 15 minutes for the whole game (with 30 seconds increment starting from move one).

The total prize fund of the tournament is 3700 USD. 

1st place -  $ 1500

2nd place - $ 1000

3rd place - $ 700

4th place - $ 500

In case of a tie the monetary prizes are distributed equally. Tie breaks will be carried out according to the following rules:

a) Sonneborn-Berger,

b) number of games played with the black pieces,

c) personal games,

d) number of victories.
