The visit of the third President of the Republic of Armenia to the Chess Academy of Armenia

Today, Serzh Sargsyan, the third President of the Republic of Armenia and President of the Chess Federation of Armenia, along with Taron Margaryan, the son of Andranik Margaryan and a member of the Federation Council, visited the Chess Academy of Armenia. Their purpose was to observe the ongoing progress of the 14th Andranik Margaryan Memorial Tournament.

The guests expressed their admiration for the significant increase in youth participants, reaching around 600 this year.

Additionally, they observed round-robin tournaments featuring chess players from Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Sweden, Kazakhstan, and Iran, competing for international master and grandmaster norms.
