“Andranik Margaryan 14th Memorial” with IM norm

The Chess Academy of Armenia is organizing an International Chess Tournament “Andranik Margaryan 14th Memorial” from 8th to 16th of January, 2024. The tournament is a 10-player IM norm Round Robin event held in 9 rounds.

Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves + 15 minutes for the whole game (with 30 seconds increment starting from move one).

Tie breaks will be carried out according to the following rules:

a) Sonneborn-Berger,

b) number of games played with the black pieces,

c) personal games,

d) number of victories.

Opening Ceremony - 8 January, 13:00

2nd round - 9 January, 15:00

3rd round - 10 January, 15:00

4th round - 11 January, 15:00

5th round - 12 January, 15:00

6th round- 13 January, 15:00

7th round - 14 January, 15:00

8th round - 15 January, 15:00

9th round - 16 January, 11:00

Closing ceremony - 16 January, 18:00
